Letter from

Xavier Aubercy

I love shoes because they have an incomparable place in the masculine universe.

A shoe touches intensely and unconsciously on seduction, but also and above all it reveals the man who wears them. A shoe expresses his tastes, his passion, his spirit and his strength of character. Our story is first and foremost human, a love story that I strive to bring to life with wonderful craftsmen. In a world that has never stopped evolving, our family has always wanted our house to remain independent in order to have the total freedom to create beauty, as we would like them to be made for ourselves.

Aubercy is unique, unclassifiable. You just have to enter a little into the secret, and take one of our shoes in your hand to feel this alchemical desire to create a perfect whole. We make less than a thousand shoes per year that we sign with our name, as a personal commitment to respect and quality. Shoes in the greatest tradition but always with a soul, a "twist", a requirement. Each shoe is a guarantee of this passion, of this idea of authentic luxury "à la carte" where everyone can realize their desire. A unique creation must always tell a beautiful story, that of the man who wanted it. For me, an exceptional object only takes on its full nobility if it allows people to connect. I wanted my house to be a place of harmony where talented craftsmen come together to work on beautiful shoes.

Like a conductor, I accompany the shoemaker, the last maker, the bootmaker every day so that these virtuosos can express the best of their know-how. Every day, I have the joy, as a family, of being in the lineage of a dream: that of designing the most beautiful shoes possible, defending with all our hearts that in an Aubercy shoe, "Everything that is not seen, must be even more beautiful than what is seen".

We do it for wonderful clients, sensitive to our choices; for the pleasure of sharing a passion, an art of living well and a personalized elegance intended to be as refined as it is timeless.
