Lawrence - The button boot, the dandy's shoe

The Lawrence boot is Aubercy's most iconic boot.
This buttoned ankle boot is a reissue of a model created by André Aubercy in the late 1930s, in the purest dandy spirit.
We kept the original Lawrence.
In the 21st century, our boot is still uncompromising: its cut is Balmoral-inspired and its buttonholes are hand-sewn.
It is also worth noting the highly refined English edge work which explains all the possibilities of our workshop.

Leather shoes:

1. Regular cleaning : Use a soft brush or dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Clean the shoes with a slightly damp cloth if necessary.

2. Polish : Apply a small amount of polish suitable for the color of the leather with a clean cloth or a soft brush. Use circular movements to make the product penetrate well. Let dry for a few minutes.

3. Polishing : Once the polish is dry, buff the shoes with a soft bristle brush or microfiber cloth to restore shine.

4. Moisturizing : Use a leather balm or moisturizer every two to three months to nourish the leather and prevent cracking.

5. Protection : Apply a waterproofer to protect the leather from water and stains.

6. Use shoe trees : Insert wooden shoe trees into your shoes after each use to help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.

Suede shoes:

1. Regular brushing : Use a suede brush to remove dust and dirt. Always brush in the same direction to avoid damaging the texture.

2. Removing Stains : For light stains, use a suede eraser to gently rub the affected area. For more stubborn stains, a specific suede cleaner can be used according to the manufacturer's instructions.

3. Restore shine : Use a crepe brush or brass brush to revive the texture of the suede after cleaning.

4. Protection : Apply a waterproofing spray specially designed for suede to protect your shoes from moisture and stains. Reapply regularly, especially after cleaning.

5. Using shoe trees : After each wear, insert wooden shoe trees into your suede shoes to preserve their shape and help wick away moisture.

6. Storage : Store your shoes in a dry, ventilated place. Shoe trees also help prevent creases and extend the life of your shoes.

By following these tips, your leather and suede shoes will stay in excellent condition and retain their elegance over time.
